The story of Mr. Simone

A story of hands, creation and beauty

Since I was little, I have always had my hands on the move. My parents took us to Rougier & Plé every weekend to choose a manual activity for the home: silk painting, oil painting, pottery, beads, Fimo clay… These moments shaped my love for creation.

Making, assembling, imagining, it was our way of escaping. Even today, assembling jewelry is a real escape for me. It clears my head, it calms me and allows me to find a freedom that I could not trade. Creation is vital. It is a part of me, anchored in my family history.

My mother always wore imposing jewelry, especially brooches. Unique pieces, sometimes inspired by animals or flowers that were not found everywhere. This is where my passion for original and branded jewelry comes from. What spoke to me was the accessory, this object that personalizes an outfit.

In my family, we have always had this sense of beauty. My grandmother has always been feminine and elegant. My parents, both doctors in physics, had an artistic soul, a particular attraction to decoration. My father, an outstanding handyman, had the art of organizing everything without ever leaving anything to chance. My mother, always perfectly dressed, red lipstick every day, was an icon of femininity. I grew up in this universe marked by the love of detail, of beauty, with an assertive style.

My creations are inspired by both my Parisian roots and nature.

Paris, with its streets full of history, its secret gardens and its majestic architecture, is an inexhaustible source of inspiration. I find shapes, textures and details that speak to me, which I reinterpret in my jewelry.

Nature brings me this serenity and freedom that I seek so much. Whether it is the delicacy of a flower, the finesse of a leaf or the power of landscapes, each element finds its place in my creations, uniting Parisian refinement with the poetic simplicity of nature.

For me, creating jewelry is a logical next step. It is a tribute to these family memories, to these women who came before me, to this creativity that flows through my veins. Through Monsieur Simone, I perpetuate this tradition while reinventing it, bringing my personal touch to each piece.

Mr. Simone over the years

Let me introduce myself, my name is Laura. I am the founder and creator of Monsieur Simone.

It all started in 2012, in my bedroom, where my first jewels came to life. It was with ideas in my head that I created my first collections.

I made my first website all by myself (and since then I've redone it 3 times), I've done dozens of designer fairs in Paris to promote my brand, I had to find the right suppliers (and it wasn't easy), the right gilder, the best packaging

Obviously, the path has not been all rosy, but I never gave up.

Very quickly, Monsieur Simone attracted attention, becoming the accomplice of renowned brands during emblematic collaborations with Princesse Tam Tam or with Ba&sh, bringing his poetry to each occasion. I had press releases in prestigious fashion magazines. Each step was an incredible experience.

Today, I work in my own Parisian atelier, a place where magic happens every day. And as I continue to write the story of Monsieur Simone, one thing is certain: my passion for creation, authenticity and style is engraved in each of my jewels.

Poetic Parisian jewelry with character

Life is a question of balance. A subtle balance between our polarities. The Yin and the Yang. Monsieur Simone wishes to reconcile our complex and multiple personalities through creations as an extension of oneself. We all have a part of the feminine (Simone, Laura's grandmother) and a part of the masculine (Monsieur). Laura plays with the codes: one can be poetic AND assertive. She thus pays homage to her two favorite cities: New York, its effervescence and its graphic architecture, Paris, its poetry and its unique know-how. An elegant blend that reveals all the complexity of our souls, synthesized in creations of an apparent simplicity. Blue flower yes, but wild flower too.

Monsieur Simone plays with codes to deliver poetic and assertive creations, silver or gold, where flowers and chains coexist to reveal the depth of our soul. Monsieur Simone borrows from New York his metallic taste and graphic architecture: brass in its purest form, of which we keep only the essential and which we adorn with gold or silver. From Paris, the birthplace of Laura, its founder, Monsieur Simone inherits the demanding codes of luxury jewelry: Parisian manufacturing, by artisans, with hands broken in the exercise and who work for the greatest houses. Inspired by Baudelaire, Doisneau and the style of the Rolling Stones, Monsieur Simone elegantly mixes poetry and rock and roll in unique creations that tell all our complexity.

Handmade jewelry in Paris, unique and timeless. Each creation combines noble materials such as gold-plated brass or silver with patterns inspired by nature and architecture. Poetic but assertive, Monsieur Simone jewelry invites those who wear it to reveal their depth and singularity.
